  • The disruption is when Kim and her friend go on holiday to Paris without Bryan's permission and then get kidnapped.
  • The realisation is when Bryan finds out that his daughter has been kidnapped.he then calls the kidnappers and tells them that he is going to stop them.
  • Bryan attempts to repair the disruption when he chases after the kidnappers taking them out one at a time.
  • The new normality is when Bryan has beat the antagonists and he is back at home with his daughter.

An older film that fits into Todorov's theory is The Girl Who Knew Too Much (The Evil Eye) 1963.
